Work for us

Project Implementation Manager

Get Connected is the UK's free, confidential helpline service for young people under 25 who need help and don't know where to turn. Our service is available 365 days a year and young people can contact us by phone, webchat, email, text message, online directory WebHelp 24/7 and app.

When a young person gets in touch, one of our trained Helpline Volunteers helps them explore their issues. They offer emotional support and can let them know about appropriate sources of further specialist help from our database of 10,000 trusted organisations.

Our Project Implementation manager will be responsible for setting up our new remote volunteering model called ‘digital connectors’ funded Nesta’s Centre for Social Action Innovation Fund, which is run in partnership with the Cabinet Office. The project will enable Get Connected to expand our volunteer base across the country.

The grant, earmarked for the charity’s Digital Connectors project, will support the charity to harness technology to help even more children and young people in crisis every year. Currently operating from one helpline centre in London with the help of almost 100 trained volunteers, the grant will allow Get Connected to enlist volunteers around the country to answer incoming pleas for help through web chat and SMS.
