Work for us

Administrative Volunteer

The cause:

Get Connected is the UK's free, confidential helpline service for young people under 25 who need help, but don't know where to turn.

Young people today face a wide range of problems and many simply don’t know how to begin to identify, explore and address these. At absolutely no cost to the young person, Get Connected offers a simple gateway to find help for any problem.

The need:

Our London-based office has several departments: Executive, Service Provision, Fundraising and Marketing. At the moment we have a particular need for a volunteer to support our Head of Finance & Operations in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the office.

The benefits:

By volunteering your time you can gain new skills and experience, meet new people and support a vital service for thousands of vulnerable young people.

Whether you have experience to offer, are looking for an opportunity to see if you might be suited to the third-sector office environment or to reintroduce yourself into the workplace, we’d like to hear from you.

The role description is not exhaustive and may be amended in changing circumstances and after discussion with the volunteer. Training will be provided as necessary, and Get Connected is also able to introduce you to software packages such as iCarol (volunteer-management system), Raisers’ Edge (donor-management system) and Microsoft SharePoint.

Get Connected will reimburse volunteers for out of pocket travel expenses for public transport up to £8 per shift.
