Senior Counselling Officer

16 month fixed term contract
37.5 hours full time or 18.75 hours part time job-share
£34,000 pro rata, (inclusive of London Weighting)

You will help to promote the psychological health and wellbeing of children and young people who are experiencing distress by developing the under 25’s counselling service. You will indirectly and directly deliver the counselling service to young people exhibiting psychological distress, help them map out their issues using a very gentle entry style, checking the risk factors and introducing the young person to other agencies where appropriate.

ο‚·The service will offer fast if not immediate support and offer a high level of anonymity according to our Child Safeguarding and Confidentiality policies, while providing a good source of information about other services that would help children and young people alongside our main service.

Communications and Outreach Officer

The Communications and Outreach Officer role is a new and exciting opportunity to help directly promote our charity to young people across a range of platforms. You will support Get Connected’s outreach work to public, private and voluntary organisations that support the development of young people aged 14-25.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, fun and creative person to join our team. You will be passionate about working with young people.

Get Connected is looking for two new trustees to join our Board, supporting the charity’s bold and exciting plans to become a household name in the UK and to help more young people than ever before to find the support they need.

A Trustee within Get Connected is responsible, collectively with other trustees, for setting Get Connected’s strategic aims and objectives, and ensuring the charity’s objectives are achieved. You will be responsible for the well-being and development of the organisation and for its good governance, in compliance with current legislation under the Companies and Charities Acts.
