Counselling Manager - Psychological Health and Wellbeing

37 hours per week, 16 month Fixed Term Contract
c. £33,000 - £35,000

You will implement, oversee and provide counselling services to under 25s who may be distressed or anxious for any reason.

Your role will develop an initial evaluative offer to young people exhibiting mental health issues, help them to map out their issues, using a very gently entry style, checking the risk factors and introducing children and young people to other agencies where appropriate.

You will help us develop our in-house Counselling service - both one to one, over the phone and small group sessions.in person  Our in-house service will specialise in supporting children and young people struggling with the adolescent process, and the mental health challenges that may arise. The service will focus on using affirmative techniques and giving the CYP things to build on with positive strategies.

Our role is as an early or preventative intervention, at the right stage for children and young people. When our service is not suitable we will actively encourage and support young people to assess specialist services both statutory and NFP.

The service will offer fast if not immediate support and offer a high level of anonymity. Whilst also providing a good source of information about other services that would help children and young people alongside our main service.

Get Connected Trustee positions

A Trustee within Get Connected is responsible, collectively with other trustees, for setting Get Connected’s strategic aims and objectives, and ensuring the charity’s objectives are achieved. Challenge Event Internship

If you are over 18 and would like an insight into work within the charity sector, we are offering a three month internship with our Fundraising team, supporting our major challenge events throughout the summer.

This placements will provide the opportunity for you to gain valuable experience across a range of fundraising, marketing and administrative functions. The placement is unpaid. We can reimburse food and travel expenses up to £10 per day.

Please note that candidates will need to be available on Saturday 11th and Sunday 12th July to support our Race to the Stones event.
