Abuse

A large amount of young people contacted Get Connected last year about physical abuse, sexual abuse and rape. They were often dealing with other issues, such as loneliness and depression, as a result.

It can be really difficult to find the words to explain what's going on, so if you're being abused you might not feel able to ask anyone for help.

There are services designed to support you, and Get Connected will explore your options with you slowly and sympathetically. If you don't feel ready to tell anyone else, or report what's going on, we won't make you. Our service is completely confidential.

Our Helpline Volunteers are trained to provide emotional support, so your first step is to contact them on: 080 8808 4994, Email or Webchat*. You can also look for help yourself in our directory, WebHelp24/7.
