Self-Harm

Self-harm can take a lot of different forms, including cutting yourself, burning yourself or pulling your hair out. It might be the only way you feel you can cope with something that happened to you or that is happening at the moment.

You might feel there are lots of different things contributing to your state of mind just now, or you might feel numb and unsure where to start.

Either way, there are lots of places that can help, such as a counselling helpline or a support group, and it's totally up to you which ones you feel you'd like to be put in contact with. Our Helpline Volunteers will discuss the options with you. There is lots of advice and information available to you and Get Connected will put you in touch with it.

Our Helpline Volunteers are trained to provide emotional support, so your first step is to contact them on: 080 8808 4994, Email or Webchat*. You can also look for help yourself in our directory, WebHelp24/7.
