Self-harm

Self-harm can take a lot of different forms, including cutting yourself, burning yourself or pulling your hair out. It might be the only way you feel you can cope with something that's happened to you or that's happening at the moment.

You might feel there are lots of different things contributing to your state of mind just now, or you might feel numb and unsure where to start.

Either way, there are lots of places that might be able to help, such as a counselling helpline or a support group, and it's totally up to you which ones you feel you'd like to be put in contact with.

Get Connected's helpline workers are trained to provide emotional support and will take your phone call, email or webchat at a pace you feel totally comfortable with.
