Are you worried about your attitude to food?
Many young people turn to food when they are really upset. So you aren't alone in recognising that food isn't always just a source of nutrition. It can be become a source of comfort or discomfort - and frequently both.
Get Connected also understands that it can be hard to talk about and plenty of young people feel like no one's listening. Your eating habits might have changed as a result of something that upset you, and this can be very difficult to explain, or even identify.
Our Helpline Volunteers will discuss the options with you; whether you think your relationship with food is dominating your life, you suffer from anorexia or bulimia or you binge eat. There is lots of advice and information available to you and Get Connected will put you in touch with it. You could speak to someone trained specifically in the area of eating disorders or, if you think there's another issue that you'd benefit from talking about, we can find someone to help.
Our Helpline Volunteers are trained to provide emotional support, so your first step is to contact them on: 080 8808 4994, Email or Webchat*. You can also look for help yourself in our directory, WebHelp24/7.
