About you
We're looking for people who are good at listening, considerate when speaking, and who can maintain a non-judgemental approach in any given scenario.
You need to be over 18 and able to get to our offices in Marylebone, central London and we’d like you to commit to one four hour shift each week – you can choose the one that is most convenient for you.
You don’t need any specific experience or qualifications to be a Helpline Volunteer, just lots of enthusiasm for helping young people.
Helpline Volunteers do use computers and the internet so it is helpful if you have a good understanding of how to use new technology.
We provide a comprehensive training programme that will teach you how to ask the right sort of questions, provide emotional support, and use all the information resources you’ll access to find young people help.
