Sorry! |
We wanted to take this opportunity to not only wish all of you the very best for 2009, but to apologise for not being able to offer our regular service over the Christmas period. We're dependent on a number of wonderful, hard-working and passionate volunteers to keep our helpline running and unfortunately not all of those volunteers were available over the Christmas period. And if you, or anyone you know might be interested in volunteering for us, please have a look here to see what's involved. Keep in mind you need to be over 18 though! |

Gang crime | |
We recently conducted some research amongst young people and the results were quite surprising. According to the 500 young people we surveyed, the biggest issue facing young people today is gang crime. The reason we find this surprising is because gang crime is rarely mentioned by the young people who get in touch with our helpline. Issues like family relationships, bullying, emotional problems and housing, which are among the most common we're contacted about, came much further down the list. So I'm interested to know what you think is the biggest issue facing young people in the UK today. Please add a comment to our blog, or click here to vote in our poll. |

Kanza, our intrepid 17-year-old volunteer continued to blog for us throughout December. I'd seriously recommend reading her posts about how to cope with the death of a loved one, and bullying. |
