Nobody's Perfect

We've launched a short film competition that gives you the opportunity to share your feelings about the issues that matter to you.

The competition is called Nobody's Perfect and we're looking for young people to submit their ideas to the dedicated competition website (details below). Those entrants who our panel choose as winners will be given professional training and assistance to turn their ideas into fully-fledged short movies about some of the issues that young people contact us about.

We're really lucky to have secured the involvement of the likes of Georgia Groome (from the new film Angus, Thongs & Perfect Snogging) and Jason Isaacs (Lord Malfoy from the Harry Potter movies) on the panel.

The films will be premiered at a red carpet event at the Odeon in Covent Garden, London on 21st October.

This is the section of the newsletter where we help you find out a little bit more about our hard-working volunteers that respond to your phone calls, emails and webchats.

This time it's the turn of Lucy (that's a picture of her over there). She's currently training for a black belt in kick boxing, so we try to be nice to her!

ALOL: "Do you remember your first call? What was it like?"
Lucy: "It was many years ago, although I do remember feeling incredibly nervous and I swear the people sitting next to me could hear my heart pounding."
