Get Connected needs you!

Well, we need your opinions anyway.

We've just had some new animated adverts made and we'd love to know what you think of them.

The adverts feature characters called Jasmine, Dane and Nathan, who are all experiencing the kinds of problems that young people often contact us about.

What do you think of the characters? Are they sympathetic? Are they too cartoony? Do they come across as cool, smart and streetwise?

Whatever you think of them, we'd love to hear it.

Anyone who's ever received ALOL before will know the score by now. This is the section of the newsletter where we help you find out a little bit more about the fantastic and hard-working volunteers that answer your phone calls, emails and webchats. 

This time it's the turn of Jason, a man who spends a lot of his time jumping out of aeroplanes to raise money for Get Connected!

ALOL: "Why did you start volunteering?"
Jason: "I had been doing some courses in social care and counselling and just wanted to find out if I could really help someone I had never met."

We're very excited to announce that, for the first time in our history, we now have some staff outside of our London office.

We've employed the lovely Kathryn and Julia to become our Regional Communications Representatives in Leeds and Manchester. Unfortunately we couldn't think of a catchier job title.

Kathryn and Julia will be meeting with youth groups, schools and colleges to help spread the word about Get Connected in Leeds and Manchester, and to let young people know that they can get in touch with Get Connected whenever they have a problem.

If you live in those areas and know about any youth groups that Kathryn or Julia should come and talk to, please let us know.
