Meet the gang

In the Opinions section of this site, we're currently asking you what you think about some new adverts we've had made.

The poll in the Opinions section only allows you to tell us whether you like our new characters a lot, a bit or not at all, so I thought it was a good idea to give you the chance to express yourselves a bit more fully.

What do you think of Jasmine, Dane and Nathan? Are they sympathetic characters? Are they too cartoony? Do they come across as cool, smart and streetwise?

I'd love to know your thoughts.

I really like the adverts themselves, but I do think they'd be much better if you used real people. I'd find it easier to relate to someone real than a cartoon. Other than that, they're great!

I like Nathan. His story is interesting and I wondered what was going to happen in the second video. Jasmine looks a bit weird and agressive though.
why didnt you use real teenagers?
I like that you’ve used cartoons because it makes it more shocking that they are shaving problems. You should do more to cover other topics like selfharm.
Thanks for all your feedback, guys. It's really useful.

@ nobody - We didn't use real actors because we wanted Jasmine, Dane and Nathan to take on personalities of their own. It is something we considered though.

In answer to your question these are my views

I thought Jasmine was a bit weird and angry looking, wasnt too keen on her. Although her story was a good one

I did quite like Danes, his was pretty good

Im not sure that i particularly like the nathan one, didnt have much in it.

I think that, yes, they are a bit cartoony, you should use real people to act them out and maybe put something in about what happens when you call, thats the most scary bit for people/.

Im not sure they particularly came across as "cool, smart and streetwise". I think they came across more as brave, for managing to call and open up about stuff. Maybe you could make the helpline seem more welcoming or something. Its hard to explain.

Sorry if thats rubbish, i hope it helped even just a little bit?

Jen - thank you so much for such a considered reponse. It definitely helps us to have your feedback. In light of the feedback from you and Nobody, we'll definitely give more thought to using real people next time.

Your point about making it clear what happens when someone calls us is a good one and I know what you mean about making the helpline seem more welcoming. We'll definitely make that all clearer in our next adverts.

Thank you very much for your help!
