Providing help for young people outside your remit

Young people often have to deal with more than one problem at a time - for example if they're homeless, there may be relationship problems that led to them being kicked out, or if they're depressed they may also want support with bereavement.

If you support young people with one of these issues, you may need to find other services that can help a young person with the aspects of their life that your service can't address. This can take time, and it's often difficult to know whether you've looked at all the options.

By giving a young person a Get Connected card, you're giving them access to over 13,000 services across the UK, and impartial support in finding the best one for them.

Get Connected provides each young person with emotional support, whether they've contacted us by phone, email or webchat, and takes the conversation at the pace of the young person. If they aren't ready to speak to someone else, they can get back to us when they've decided what they want to do. We'll connect them for free to their chosen source of support.

You're welcome to contact us on behalf of a young person and find out what help is available in their area / for their issue.
