Thanks to our friends at the Carphone Warehouse, we've had the famous gold Big Brother diary room chair sitting in our reception for the last few months.

Everyone at Get Connected has had lot of fun by spinning around in it and re-enacting our favourite Big Brother moments, but we finally decided that by offering to give the chair a new home, we might be able to raise some money to help more young people.

So we put the chair up for auction.

And when the auction closed at 11am today, we found out we had raised £6,600 - money that will go towards helping approximately 1,000 young people find the best help available to them, whatever the problem.

Every month we take the liberty of asking our already busy volunteers to answer a few questions to help you get to know the people that answer your calls and reply to your emails and webchats.

This month it's the turn of Ruby. That's a picture of her over there. She's even helpfully put her name on it, so you know it's her!

ALOL: "Why did you start volunteering?
Ruby: "I am thinking about becoming a social worker and so I wanted to gain some relevant experience. I think it is important for people to volunteer, especially if they have spare time."
