Going once...

If we look a little pleased with ourselves this month that's because we are.

Last week we held an auction and thanks to some very, very generous executives from the telecoms industry we managed to raise £208,000. In one night!

The auction, which was presented by comedian Phill Jupitus, featured lots like a five-star holiday in Antigua, tickets to the 2009 Superbowl and VIP tickets to see Kylie at the o2 Arena.

You can read more about it here.

This is Chloe

[This is Chloe]

It's the time of the month for us to introduce you to another of our fantastic volunteers.

This month it's the turn of Chloe. That's a picture of her there, which, we have to tell you, doesn't really look much like her.

But, she does earn brownie points for being the first volunteer to use our Scribble Pad to draw her self-portrait.

ALOL: “Do you remember your first call? What was it like?”
Chloe: “It was fairly short and not too complicated, so I had a good start. I was excited about speaking to a young person I'd never met - it felt like a sort of privilege.”
